Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct effort estimation for Mainframe rehosting projects, providing accurate assessments and resource planning.
• Engage in design and development activities using CICS/IMS-DC, COBOL, Assembler, and PL/1, ensuring alignment with modernization goals.
• Lead a team of consultants in modernization assessments, offering guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Advise customers on architectural and technical aspects of system development and integration, ensuring adherence to relevant strategies, policies, and standards.
• Leverage knowledge of various Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) domains to provide tailored modernization solutions.
• Understand and apply API, Microservices, and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts in modernization efforts.
• Set up tools like Micro Focus Enterprise Server and TmaxSoft OpenFrame on Linux for rehosting requests, creating demonstration labs in collaboration with rehost product vendors.
• Oversee data migration and application inventory migration processes, ensuring smooth transitions to new platforms.
• Conduct assessments of applications, recommending target platforms, architecture, guiding principles, and roadmap strategies for Mainframe rehosting.
• Draft responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) related to Mainframe rehosting solutions for BFSI business groups.
• Present solution options and business cases to CXOs, effectively communicating the value of partnering with our organization.

Requirements

• 12 to 15 years of relevant IT experience in Mainframe technology with hands-on rehosting project experience.
• Strong knowledge of CICS, IMS-DC, COBOL, Assembler, PL/1, and familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• In-depth understanding of modernization strategies, including componentization, rearchitecting, and re-engineering.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead teams, guide modernization projects, and manage client relationships.
• Familiarity with trends and technologies within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance sectors.
• Experience with API, Microservices, and SOA concepts is highly desirable.
